Very slow computer and programs take a long time to load

A memory leak is the most common cause of a read error on a Windows computer. This happens when a program incorrectly declares memory allocation, such as when you have a little more RAM but you don’t free it. A memory leak also occurs when specific running code cannot access an object stored in memory.

Speeding up long computers is part of my daily routine, so here are some specific tips for you. I can’t go into all the details, but if you google something or terms you’re not sure about, you’ll find plenty of results.

There are already some good concepts here, but I would avoid Registry Cleaner to begin with, it won’t help most people, but there is a risk of accidentally breaking something. Also avoid those who have “accelerated” programs that claim to take care of your application completely, they may be nice but will definitely cost more system resources than they’re worth.

When installing, just make sure that there are no suspicious programs on the PC.

You’re on a journey to find out which programs have families, so download Add/Remove a Program or Program and Features. As already mentioned, II uninstall all “accelerator” programs and remove all defined “toolbars”.

Look for the location “Publisher” and any programs where you don’t recognize the name of the computer software or the publisher, be careful. If you google the name and code to see if it’s fake, you’ll usually get a lot of hits from people saying it’s really a scam on sites like “should I delete this?” so you will probably delete it.

Any posts that shouldn’t have the word “editor” in them, don’t hesitate and google it.

Also, depending on whether your antivirus works, I should have a good experience with the combination of the redesigned Windows Defender in Windows 8-10 or Microsoft Security Essentials in 7 and Malware Bytes, the important free version. The paid version, which is currently offered to you when you install (do not accept) as a trial, contains a real-time scanner common to almost all anti-virus programs, and has two or more real-time scanners on the-go, which has a huge impact on PC power off. FreeThis version only has a scan, the manual might be a good idea to work differently from time to time.

If you like Windows Defender in general, I have reason to believe that Avast and Kaspersky are definitely great alternatives right now, I personally can’t touch McAfee. Just make it cheap, you only use one.

Okay, the next time you want to check Malware Bytes Free and any antivirus of your choice, run these checks one at a time, maybe not at the same time. Delete or quarantine anything you find, restart one computer, and try again. Keep repeating this process until their scan is clean, or until such people find the exact items over and over again.

If they come back and contain the same items, enable the default admin account by copy/pasting, or create the following command in the infamous command (right click command prompt or maybe powershell and select “run as administrator name”).

Then, restart your computer in safe mode, but also log in as a bypass administrator account. This is important because viruses sometimes hide in arbitrary user directories, so changing a particular directory will prevent it from running. Now arrange both clean scans, again the system under administrator in safe mode and repeat the process. Hopefully the second set of scans will be clean. If so, reboot normally, switch back to your bank account, and then run the following query in an administrative command prompt

Now, as far as cleaning assistance is concerned, the only program I can recommend is CCleaner Free, just the cleaner part. So make sure both are set to something you trust.
